Perched on a scented terraced hillside, above the unspoilt market town of Monchique, this typical quinta offers a quiet and and serene retreat. Within it’s own private 3 acre garden, awash with flowers, fruit trees and an enticing pool, it is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Guests can enjoy Quinta da Relva at any time of year. The big open fire, a large shelf of books and a selection of board games are just what is needed after a day walking the local footpaths or exploring further afield.
We have availability this winter for a long let… Enjoy the cooler months in in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with breathtaking views of the foothills and coast, whilst enjoying the local cuisine and a weekly visit from our housekeeper. Christmas at Quinta da Relva
The Quinta is a traditional farmhouse in its own private 2 hectare garden in a south-facing valley in an area of outstanding natural beauty just 10 mins drive from Monchique.
The house sleeps 6. The master bedroom is a double and the 2 further bedrooms can be made up to be either a double or singles. There is also a cot and high chair available.
A Christmas tree with lights will be provided, ready for you to decorate by the large open fire. Enjoy your Christmas meal at the granite table on the terrace, by the pool, or at the chestnut table in the traditional farmhouse kitchen.
Our housekeeper Amalia will prepare the house for you - welcoming you with freshly cut flowers in every room. We are also happy to provide you with a well stocked hamper upon your arrival.

Beautiful Scenery and Plenty To Do! - April 2024
“We had a wonderful week at Quinta da Relva - it was great to see all the Easter celebrations around the town.The house and grounds are wonderful and the garden is full of sweet oranges and lemons just ready to be juiced. Considering Easter was early this year it was surprisingly warm averaging over 20 degrees C. We explored the western coast and walked the Fishermen's path from Porto Cova - stunning clifftop scenery - though you'll need a head for heights! We discovered that there's a bicycle hire shop in the town - too late for this trip but definitely will be back to explore the back roads of Monchique.” - Scott Thompson
